The idea
A quiet, everyday pendant that begins from the Qing carved jade pei — a single rounded form on a fine chain, finished by hand rather than carved from a whole stone.
Not a reproduction
The historical pei is a carved nephrite plaque with a drilled hole for suspension. This pendant is cast jadeite on a sterling chain, machine-polished, and is a modern jewel — not a reproduction or an antique.
