The idea
The Han jade armlet — one unbroken circle — reissued in frosted jade with a hidden clasp for daily wear.
Not a reproduction
The original is a Qin–Han nephrite armlet slipped over the hand. This bangle keeps the continuous circle but adds a concealed gold clasp and a matte finish; it is contemporary jewellery.

Where it begins
This is an armlet in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, dated by the museum to the Qin and Han Dynasties. The recorded medium is jade. Its recorded diameter is 8.3 cm in diameter. Accession number 11.190.170, gift of Samuel T. Peters, 1911.
Description follows the museum's own record; it is not an independent essay.
